Hello Everyone!

With the winter weather behind us (fingers crossed!), we are outside enjoying the warmer temperatures. For many of us, that means we will be traveling and spending more time in our vehicles.

Vehicle safety and preparedness should be high on your list. Given how much time we spend in vehicles, we need to be fully prepared to handle most emergencies. If you have a camper or RV, you will also need these items, and possibly more.

After having a couple of emergencies with our travel trailer and boat trailer, we keep these things in the truck when we use these items:

* Floor Jack (3-ton) to change tires more easily than a standard car jack
* Wiring kit to replace damaged wiring inside and outside of the camper and boat trailer
* A 6-foot ladder
* A battery-operated drill and drill bits
* A dedicated bag of tools that also includes zipties and duct tape

We had a new tire blowout on our boat trailer a few years ago. We had a jack and a tire iron from the vehicle, but we tried to use them with no luck. Rob had to run to a local Fleet Farm for supplies and they still were not enough. Fortunately, a guy and his friends stopped and offered help. They had a 3-ton floor jack and other tools that made the job simple.

After that, we swore we would not leave home without those things again. You learn by experience and that experience taught us a lot!
