Hello Everyone!

What is your biggest enemy right now?

My biggest enemy right now is procrastination. Sometimes it works for me, but in most cases, it works against me. I try very hard every day to curb this habit of procrastination with lists and being intentional about getting things done.

Procrastination can make us comfortable with doing things at the last minute, but it also causes a lot of stress. I'm trying to be really intentional towards getting my stress levels down after living for years in a constant survival mode. My cortisol levels are high and I find myself too tired to care. So, procrastination needs to go!

Prepping is a good way to combat procrastination. Waiting until the last minute in a crisis can be detrimental to survival. You could be caught unaware. You could put your family at risk. You could be on the wrong side of the grass. So, taking the time now to prepare will ensure none of those things happen.

What can you do today to be prepared for tomorrow?

Hello Everyone! How have you been handling the heat? Wow, it has been hot! I love the heat because I would rather be warm. The rain has dried up here in my section of the state so I have been watering the gardens and potted plants everyday or every other day. It is cooler today and I am enjoying that too. The garden is producing though! We have been getting cucumbers mostly. The peas have been producing, but are drying up. We have been getting a few zucchini, but I am dealing with blossom end...

Hello Everyone! A month has gone by and that wasn't intentional, but things were getting done. The garden is planted in the raised beds and I have everything ready to go for the next round of planting in late July and August. We got our new trellises built to have the peas, green beans, and cucumbers to climb. If you are interested in how we built and installed these, I will gladly do a write up on them. I have finally finished a free download for you! What started out as an article on the...

Hello Everyone! Since I haven't been able to do much outside besides weeding, I have been trying to get some other things done. One of those things has been fixing some backend issues on this website. Very few of these things may affect, except that the page might load faster, but they were necessary for Google and other sites to use my articles in their search results. I spent most of one day learning about robots.txt and fixing it on the website. Thank goodness for YouTube videos and online...
